How to get the most support here
elle:
***welcome*** to AS3! We're glad you found us and we want you to have every chance at success. A big part of that success, for many of us, has been the support we received from other quitters.
There are two things you can do right away that will help bring out the supporters in droves.
1) When you first join us, post a new thread here in the introduction section so that we can all find it and welcome you.
2) Post as much as you can in support of others. The more you give, the more you will receive.
We're glad you are here, and hope we can find a way to help you as you transition to this new, healthy phase of the rest of your life!

He got back a few hours ago.. so we will see and I will let you all know.... I hope he does and doesn't wait until the day of the heart procedure that will be in 3 weeks.....

**grrr** Day 1 and I am feeling really CRAZY!!!!!!!! Need to get some comfort, but I know that smoking is not what I need. I have been trying to find a face to face but that is not an option because the closest one is 50+ miles away. I have been stuck on this computer all day asking for help. That is how I found you.
Susan Scobie:
Take a straw and cut it to the length of a cigarette and smoke that, chew on it play with it. keep it in your mouth. That helped me. My doctor suggested that.
Remember the first week is called HELL week for a reason. Do you have any of the NRT commit lounges or Gum... anything to lesson the withdrawal of nicotine. The comes the mental withdrawals that are not as hard to deal with. You do not have to do this COLD Turkey if this is what your doing. Please let us help you by posting a little about yourself and do you have a meter???? The meter has been my God Send
